Why I Homeschool

I have thought many times why I homeschool, what would make me want to focus all my attention to home. There are many reasons, I will narrow it down to two on the top of the list.

I love being with my children, talking to them in depth daily. Knowing thoughts and feelings, helping them mature in the world. With our families views in mind and talking them through the tough issues. My older boys have always confided in me, even through high school. We had our differences mind you, it was not always perfect. Thankfully, we made it through and we are still close.

Second, I can develop the love they have, work through the things they struggle with, and really know my children. They share their dreams and I can tweak their curriculum to make it happen. Music was a big part of my children's curriculum, I was able to allow more time in this subject.

I have so many reasons to homeschool. I really only have to look at my children each day and know I am doing the right thing. They are happy, well adjusted and love being home with mom and their siblings.
